Rogers Will Launch Sony Ericsson Xperia Play And Xperia Arc

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and Xperia Arc are going to be released in Canada very soon via Rogers. The network carrier has just added these smartphones to its website, where you can check out their features, and register to receive notice when they become available. Sony Ericsson will release the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play in the Indian market starting late April. This Android smartphone will become available for 34,000 INR ($755). As a reminder, the handset features a PSP styled gamepad, a 4 inch FWVGA multi-touch display, access to PlayStation games (via Sony PlayStation Suite), Adreno GPU, a 5Mp autofocus camera and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

For your info, the handset sports an 8 Megapixel EXMOR camera equipped with LED flash capable of recording HD videos, 512MB RAM, 1GHz Processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1500 mAH Battery, a 3.5mm audio jack, 300 MB Internal Memory, HDMI port and a micro USB port. Here is good news for Owners of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X8 will get an upgrade to Android 2.1 before the end of the year.
For your info, the Xperia X8 is based on version 1.6 of Google’s OS, and costs about €200 (US$280) before subsidies. It started shipping in the beginning of October, and comes with a 3-inch display, a 3.2-megapixel camera and navigation using A-GPS (Assisted-GPS).
